Michael Lavigne, Assistant Secretary for Evangelization & Discipleship, said, "The Divine Mercy message is fairly simple—God loves us and wants to share His life with us, now and eternally. This great news of joy for us! But this good news requires a response from us. We need to go to Him regularly and ask for His mercy. In turn, we have to let God’s mercy work through us by being instruments of mercy to each other by forgiving and not letting past or present hurts come between us. By asking for God’s mercy and being instruments of God’s mercy we can begin to share in the divine life now."
